in other words…

…sound stories using dialogue, music, and sound effects. They can be professional and highly produced or amateur and cobbled together. Or anywhere in between.
They’re always wild, free, and bonkers to listen to.
StoryBombs are projects we run with anyone and everyone, but mainly young people and vulnerable groups in the North of England. They range from 1 hour Zoom sessions to courses lasting a few weeks. A standard 2 day project would see us running a writing workshop to develop a script, and a music workshop to soundtrack our narrative. We get our cast together and record / edit the dialogue, adding in music and sound effects as we go. Everything is created by the imaginations of the people attending and there’s always something for everyone to get involved in.

We have created many StoryBombs with youth groups, young homeless people, young people excluded from mainstream education, and run ongoing projects with Young Carers.

“He loved the activities, they highlighted a talent that we didn’t know he had and that we can now make sure we continue to support and nurture. This has really helped his confidence.”
